Dvur Kralove nad Labem - Surroundings of Giant mountains

A dowry town of the Queens of Bohemia in the distant past, Dvůr Králové nad Labem prides itself on a range of historical and cultural monuments and other attractions, the greatest of which is undoubtedly the local zoological garden and safari park that is much acclaimed by experts and admired by visitors. The dominant features of the town's historical centre include a square that features the Renaissance Old Town Hall and an array of burghers' houses, the Šindelářská Tower, remnants of town walls, the Town Museum, the Hanka House and St John the Baptist's Church. The Tešnov Reservoir, one of the most beautiful valley reservoirs in this country, is also noteworthy. Dvůr Králové nad Labem is the birthplace of sculptors O. Gutfreund and A. P. Vágner and composer R. A. Dvorský.
