Janske Lazne - Krkonose - Giant mountains
Janské Lázně is world-famous spa city and at the time the second best rated ski centre in the Czech Republic. Considered by many local people to be one of the prettiest towns in Krkonose with the spa building and the colonnade facing each other over a delightful park with a beautiful rose garden. The position of the town nestled in the valley at the base of Cerná Hora 1299m (Black Mountain) lends itself to sporting pastimes such as walking, skiing, mountain biking and further up the mountain excellent snowboarding. Janské Lázn? is also famous for its spa that treats people with walking difficulties. Lots of good pubs and restaurants are available as well as saunas and a swimming pool.
The quiet little spa town with remarkable history stretches at the foothills of Černa hora (1299 m h.a.s.l) to which's peek leads straight from the city a cableway. Thanks to new built funiculars, tows and ski running tracks the city has become top sport and recreational centre and an ideal starting point for skiers in winter as well as for cyclists and tourist on foot in summer to reach the highest Czech mountains - Krkonose.The cabin lift to the top of Cerná Hora offers great views of Krkonose.
